We have found a place with snow... The Midwest, and are heading there on Sunday. Amazingly it has been very mild there until we decided that's where to start out holiday. After visiting with family in Chicago and Charlotte, we will head for New Orleans where I will spend my birthday and we will kick back and enjoy a new setting. We look forward to seeing everyone in February!

Restaurant News: This winter we will reopen Friday and Saturday, February 10th & 11th, Valentine's Day and the Presidents's day weekend that follows, February 17, 18 & 19. We hope to see you on one of these nights.

A once in a life time opportunity: The weather looks like it will hold through next Thursday without rain/snow. Tioga Pass and Glacier Point Roads will still be open. What a great time to invite your friends a family up to experience a winter high country as they are unlikely to ever see again. In celebration of this phenom your guests will receive a second night free. If they can only stay one night, we will discount 30%. (Valid for stays completed by 3/29/2012)      Bring Ice Skates!

The new year is here and the weather is still incredible. Yesterday was t-shirt and sandals.

Restaurant News: Open tonight, Friday and Saturday. This weekend (starting Friday night) Victor has brought in two great specials.

Veal loin scaloppini piccata       $19.95Kobi top sirloin steak with blue cheese butter topping. $19.95
     (Or $24.95 for a 3-course meal with soup or salad & dessert)

After Saturday, we will reopen the restaurant for dinner on Valentine's Day, February 14 and the weekend that follows. We hope to see you then. For groups that have regularly scheduled lunches here, we will continue serving you as we always have these last 8 years during our winter breaks.

Groveland's Holiday Decoration Take-Down Day: They tell me this is typically 12 days after Christmas, so we are planning on December 6th as the big de-ribboning, de-bowing and de-wrapping day. Join us at Hotel Charlotte headquarters at 9:30 am to get started.
